# Catalyst Desk > A catalyst calendar and weekly preview for equity analysts and portfolio managers. Paste the upcoming events for a coverage universe and the book of positions; the browser cleans the list for free and exports it; a paid run writes the week's preview for the book, checked against the calendar. Live at https://catalyst-desk.skillsafe.ai/ . API tutorial: https://catalyst-desk.skillsafe.ai/api.html ## What it does - Input: an event list (a table with a Date column in pipes, tabs or CSV - optional Time, Ticker, Event, Type, Impact, Notes - or one event per line starting with a date), an optional book (ticker, side, weight %, thesis), an as-of date and a horizon of 7-120 days. - Free, in the browser, no AI (catkit.js): dates normalised (ISO, 10/28/2026, Oct 28, 28 Oct, weekday prefixes, "week of", early/mid/late month, Q4 2026, TBD; year-less dates land in the coming twelve months); every event typed Earnings, Corporate, Industry or Macro with a sub-type (earnings, investor day, pre-announcement, debt maturity, regulatory decision, trial readout, M&A milestone, lock-up, product event, conference, trade show, industry data, FOMC/CPI/payrolls and other macro); an H/M/L impact from the type and the position it touches (binary event on a held name = H; earnings on a large or unsized position = H; one step up at 5% or more; one step down for non-earnings events on names not held; your own impact is never changed); a week-by-week calendar; flags for duplicates, two earnings dates for one name, unconfirmed and approximate dates, weekend dates, weekday typos, crowded days, a held name reporting on a major macro day, binary events on large positions, positions with no catalyst and positions with no earnings date. - Free exports: .ics (all-day events, impact in the summary; each event keeps the same UID week to week, so re-importing next week's file updates moved dates instead of duplicating them), CSV, Markdown calendar, a draft preview. - Week over week, free: with an earlier saved preview in history, the page lists what changed in the new list - dates moved (with the number of days), events added or gone, dates newly confirmed or unconfirmed, impacts changed - and copies it as Markdown. - Lists over 600 rows are read in part and say so: a PARTIAL warning on the page and "PARTIAL-first600-rows" in every download name. - Paid (model gpt-terra, one task "preview"): the headline for the week, this week's key events (why and the focus for each, the positions they move), next week's heads-up, position implications (exposure binary/elevated/routine, pre-positioning, risk step), impact changes, dates to verify, gaps, one response per browser flag, and an email-ready weekly note. - Reconciliation (recon.js): every event/position/flag id must exist; this-week and next-week items must be in that window; impacts must match the calendar or an explicit change; every high-impact event this week and every position with a high-impact or binary event must be covered; "binary" must rest on a binary event; every flag must be answered; every $ or % figure and every ticker in the prose must appear in the paste. ## Contract Run input (one JSON object, the request body itself): task "preview", as_of, horizon_days (string), windows, events, book, flags (JSON-encoded strings), optional question, clip_note, retry_note. Reply: one JSON object with task, headline, this_week[], next_week[], position_implications[], impact_changes[], verify[], gaps[], prescan_responses[], summary. Details and worked examples: https://catalyst-desk.skillsafe.ai/api.html ## Limits It knows nothing that was not pasted: no earnings-date feed, no consensus, no prices, no news. Earnings dates shift - confirm them with investor relations. Research preparation, not investment advice. The example companies are fictional. ## Sources Derived from the agent skill @anthropics/catalyst-calendar (https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@anthropics/catalyst-calendar), anthropics/financial-services-plugins, Apache-2.0.
